This role will have a focus on FP&A activities and Business Intelligence however also dovetail with other Finance team to provide a resilient Country FP&BA Function.The FP&BA Organization will maximize our impact to reporting Arcadis performance by focusing and aligning the organization GBA growth strategy.

This role will be reporting to the FP&A Business Partner and Group Control.

Role accountabilities:

The Financial Planning & Analysis Controller is a crucial member of the FP&BA team, working collaboratively in a dynamic environment to meet evolving business requirements. Reporting directly to the FP&A Business Partner, this team strives to deliver high-quality reporting and valuable insights on our clients to Country Finance, and Group Control. With ambitious growth plans, the company aims to strengthen the FP&A partnership as a key driver towards these objectives. This dynamic environment presents opportunities for the finance department to balance day-to-day operations with continuous process improvement and integration of new entities. As a Financial Planning & Analysis Controller, you will join a dedicated team of finance professionals, supporting senior management in successfully propelling Arcadis into the next phase of growth.

The following key accountabilities fall into his/ her field of responsibility:

Support in key activities required for the Arcadis Way and integration program

  • Lead on all Management reporting initiatives and ensure the business has the analytical insights it needs to monitor performance, forecast results and drive growth.
  • Report monthly and quarterly financial KPIs, project and P&L performance management reporting and analysis (profitability, growth, and networking capital) accurately and transparently, enabling effective decision-making for country BA Controllers and BU Controllers.
  • Lead the country consolidation and reporting process throughout Plan and Forecasting cycles.
  • Lead and provide sufficient reporting tools to support country Finance teams and wider business in providing value adding insight, analysis of results, and planning and forecasting analysis.
  • Support with validation and consistency of financial information across reporting platforms (OneStream, Oracle, and Power BI).
  • Support the appropriate implementation and application of group processes.
  • Support finance function by ensuring alignment with GSSC and local accounting teams, providing relevant information to accounting teams and manage closing processes jointly.
  • Coordinate to other regions FP&A team and implement the best practices.
  • Lead the FP&A automation processes and identify areas to increase efficiency.
  • Lead the GSSC FP&A Team.
  • Supervise, develop and mentor the FP&A specialist and analyst.
  • Support both FP&A & Country Finance Teams with ad-hoc analysis as required.
  • Support in key activities required for the Arcadis Way migration program.

Qualifications & Experience:

The candidate should have of a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience as a Financial Planning & Analyst or similar role in a complex corporate environment or a consultancy firm, ideally in an international, listed company,

Other required experience and competencies for this role:

  • Strong data skills and reporting (BI/Excel) capabilities.
  • Attention to detail and consistent high standards.
  • Self-start with excellent time management skills.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, innovative and result-driven attitude.
  • IT literate with ERP experience.
  • Strong MS Excel skills including pivot tables and power query.
  • MS Power BI experience
  • Oracle EBS and Cloud
  • Familiar with Finance Terminology and able to understand P&L, Financial Position (BS) and Cash Flow Statements.
  • Fluent in English
