Business Entity:

This role will sit within the Finance FP&A organization and will be accountable for delivering business planning and performance management and business partnering support for specific Business/Functions

The FP&A Business Performance Senior Analyst will play a critical role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making within BP PLC by providing insightful analysis, robust financial models, and clear performance reporting.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of complex financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning initiatives.

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis of business performance, identifying key trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

• Prepare and present compelling data visualizations and interpret complex financial information for various stakeholders, including senior leadership.

• Support integrated planning processes, ensuring alignment between financial plans and strategic objectives.

• Contribute to investment appraisal activities, evaluating the financial viability and potential returns of new projects and initiatives.

• Develop and implement performance management frameworks and reporting tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track business progress.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to gather financial data, understand business drivers, and provide commercial insights.

• Communicate complex financial concepts and insights clearly and concisely to both financial and non-financial audiences.

• Proactively identify and assess commercial performance management issues, recommending actionable solutions to optimize business outcomes.

Job Qualifications

• Proven experience in financial analysis, with a strong background in analysis and modelling.

• Demonstrated proficiency in analytics and data visualization and interpretation tools and techniques.

• Solid understanding of commercial acumen and commercial performance management principles.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information effectively.

• Experience with integrated planning processes and systems.

• Knowledge of investment appraisal methodologies.

• Strong understanding and experience in performance management frameworks.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA) is a plus.
