About Global Fashion Group

Global Fashion Group (GFG) is the leading fashion and lifestyle destination in growth markets across LATAM, SEA and ANZ. From our people to our customers and partners, we exist to empower everyone to express their true selves through fashion. Our three e-commerce platforms – Dafiti (LATAM), ZALORA (SEA) and THE ICONIC (ANZ) – connect an assortment of international, local and own brands to over 800 million consumers from diverse cultures and lifestyles. GFG’s platforms provide seamless and inspiring customer experiences from discovery to delivery, powered by art & science that is infused with unparalleled local knowledge. As part of the Group’s vision to be the #1 online destination for fashion & lifestyle in growth markets, we are committed to doing this responsibly by being people and planet positive across everything we do.

THE TEAM

In 2019, GFG became a publicly listed company on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. It is proud to combine the best of the governance and transparency of a public company with the entrepreneurial and growth spirit of an exciting digital business operating in some of the world’s most dynamic markets.

The Group Shared Functions (GSF) Finance Team manages end-to-end finance operations for GFG's holding entities across the UK, Germany, Luxembourg, and Singapore. To establish robust cost business partnering, we are establishing a dedicated GSF FP&A role. This is an opportunity to shape how GSF FP&A works, not simply running existing processes. Alongside delivering accurate planning, reporting and business partnering, you will have the scope to challenge manual routines and use AI and automation to build better ways of working. We are looking for someone who spots opportunities, tests practical solutions and takes responsibility for the quality of the outcome. Based in London, you will report to the GSF Finance Manager and work closely with Group Finance, Group Treasury, Tech product owners, and the SEA Finance team.

SCOPE OF ROLE

This is a broadly scoped role spanning the full FP&A cycle for Group Shared Functions (GSF), from budgeting and forecasting to cost business partnering and performance reporting. Core responsibilities fall into four areas:

Planning & Forecasting

  • Cycle Ownership: Own and manage quarterly planning/forecast cycles and the annual budget for GSF holding entities in line with Group timelines.
  • Assumption Challenge: Coordinate the budget and in-year forecast processes, challenging assumptions, and highlighting risks and opportunities early.
  • Financial Planning: Help maintain high-quality financial projections and scenarios around the key drivers of GSF expenses.

Performance Reporting & Analysis

  • MBR Preparation: Produce Monthly Business Review (MBR) packs including detailed P&L views, free cash flow and working capital commentary, and quarterly cost bridges.
  • Management Accounts: Prepare management accounts, variance queries, and improve management accounting reporting for GFG Singapore holding entity.
  • Results Explanation: Deliver GSF-level results explanations and commentary.

Cost Business Partnering & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Active Partnering: Provide visibility of cost actuals vs budget to key business stakeholders and tech product owners, establishing active cost business partnering across Tech and Admin.
  • Treasury Collaboration: Deliver long-term payment/cash forecasts to Group Treasury.
  • Cross-functional Alignment: Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across Finance, People & Culture, Corporate/Legal, and the SEA Finance team to align financial performance and operational reality.

Systems, Process Improvement & Innovation and Projects

  • AI-enabled process improvement: Identify and prioritise opportunities to improve forecasting, reporting and financial analysis using AI and automation. Take improvements from problem definition through testing and implementation, working with relevant teams where needed. Demonstrate their value through reduced manual effort, stronger controls or more useful decision support.
  • Verification and accountability: Bring a critical eye and professional judgment to AI-assisted tasks. While leveraging automation, you'll stay hands-on with validating source data, assumptions, and calculations-keeping documentation clear, safeguarding sensitive data, and owning the final financial output.
  • Intercompany Optimisation Project: Lead key finance project initiatives, including reviewing and streamlining the Group's Intercompany (IC) loan framework, updating loan agreements, automating interest tracking, and optimising physical cash settlement flows between GSF and regional entities.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Qualifications: Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) Relevant Experience: Demonstrable experience owning or supporting management accounts, variance analysis, and budgeting/forecasting processes, preferably within an international, multi-currency corporate or shared services environment.
  • Analytical Capability: Highly analytical, able to draw conclusions from complex financial and cost datasets at pace.
  • Communication & Partnering: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; confident partnering with non-finance partners (such as tech product owners) to explain financial performance and cost structures.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail; accuracy in preparing performance packs and reports for Group Finance and senior leadership.
  • Adaptability: Flexible attitude and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, coping well with the demands of a varied workload spanning planning, forecasting, and reporting cycles.
  • Systems Competence: Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with EPM tools (SAP Business ByDesign, OneStream) is highly desirable.
  • Problem-solving: Able to break complex financial processes down into practical steps, decide where AI or automation can help, and recognise where hands-on analysis or specialist input is needed.
  • Continuous learning: Willing to test new approaches, learn from unsuccessful experiments and change established habits when a better method is demonstrated.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Broad exposure across the full FP&A cycle, budgeting, forecasting, cost business partnering, and performance reporting.
  • A dynamic working environment shaping the financial operations of a global e-commerce leader in growth markets.
  • Valuable experience as the business navigates a dynamic and evolving market landscape
  • Work closely with a diverse and talented global team across 11 countries
