FP&A Analyst

The FP&A Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization’s financial planning and analysis activities, including the preparation of rolling forecasts, monthly variance analysis, management reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis. This role plays a key part in enabling accurate and timely financial decision-making within a technology company that operates as a subsidiary of a publicly traded NYSE-listed parent company.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work effectively with large and complex data sets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required, as the role involves frequent preparation of reports and presentations for management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintaining of the rolling forecast process.
  • Performing monthly analysis of actual results versus forecasted figures and identify significant variances.
  • Compile, validate, and analyse large volumes of financial and operational data.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and corporate reporting purposes.
  • Timely meetings with departmental managers to gather assumptions, support forecasting activities, and ensure forecast accuracy.
  • Assist with building annual budgeting, long-range planning, and other financial planning processes.
  • Maintain complex Excel-based financial models and analysis tools.
  • Support month-end financial close by providing analysis of performance trends and deviations from plan.
  • Contribute to process improvements, standardization, and automation within FP&A activities.
  • Perform additional financial analysis and reporting tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a similar role.
  • Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to analyse large data sets and identify key trends and insights.
  • Strong understanding of monthly variance analysis and forecasting processes.
  • Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a US publicly traded company.
  • Exposure to rolling forecast and annual budgeting processes.
  • Experience with financial reporting or business intelligence tools.
  • Oracle HFM system knowledge
