The Role: FP& A Analyst
Oceans is seeking highly ambitious candidates in Sri Lanka to become FP&A Analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the business model and key value drivers

  • Build and maintain detailed financial models and seek better ways to model the business
  • Develop robust and defensible forecasts
  • Run variance analysis and go beyond accounting data to understand the root cause of variances
  • Utilize data from across the organization for running analysis
  • Verify data for accuracy and highlight any errors/inconsistencies
  • Field queries on financial data from other departments
  • Build templates to track key performance indicators to measure business performance
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as needed to support business needs
  • Keep track of industry dynamics and competition to keep the senior management up to date
  • Assist in keeping investors up to date and play a lead role on diligence work

Requirements

  • Language: Professional fluency in English, with excellent communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Experience:
    • At least 4 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or FP&A Analyst
    • Prior experience in Investment Banking is a plus
  • Essential Skills:
    • Financial Modeling and Research
    • Highly proficient with both MS Excel and Google Sheets
    • Methodical with a keen eye for details
  • Education: Undergraduate degree preferably in Finance, Business Management or Economics; related work experience accepted
