About the team

The Planning & Strategy Function is part of Group Finance and plays an important role in supporting OSB Group’s financial performance and future plans. The team is responsible for financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, management accounting, cost management, mortgage pricing and finance business partnering.

What you will be doing?

As the FP&A Funding Partner Lead Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the financial performance and planning of our Savings business. You’ll provide accurate and timely management information, financial insight and liquidity analysis to help colleagues and senior leaders make informed decisions.

You’ll lead the delivery of core MI for the FP&A Funding team, helping to maintain high standards of data quality and reporting while providing forward-looking analysis to support planning, funding and strategic decision-making. You’ll also contribute to forecasting and planning activities and help shape improvements across our Finance systems, reporting and processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Management information & insight: Develop and improve MI, analysis and dashboards for the Product team, ExCo and Board, providing clear and meaningful insights across Savings, pricing, funding and liquidity.
  • Forecasting & budgeting: Support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning using Anaplan, analysing Savings, Funding and Liquidity trends to help shape assumptions and the Funding Plan.
  • Business partnering: Build collaborative relationships across Savings Products, Financial Control, Treasury and wider Finance, supporting key initiatives and ensuring funding requirements are understood and represented.
  • Strategic analysis: Provide high-quality analysis to support executive decision-making and Board papers, including scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis and business cases.
  • Data stewardship: Lead on data quality and consistency across Savings MI, helping to ensure definitions and reporting are accurate, clear and reliable.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to improve forecast accuracy, automation and analytical insight, contributing to Finance transformation across Power BI, Anaplan, MI and liquidity reporting.

Do you have the skills?

We’re looking for someone who can bring a combination of relevant finance expertise, collaborative leadership and commercial insight to the role. You’ll ideally have:

  • Relevant Finance experience within Financial Services, with good knowledge of Savings products, bank funding, cost of funds and liquidity.
  • Proven Finance Business Partnering experience, with the ability to build trusted relationships, influence and constructively challenge senior stakeholders, alongside experience of leading a Finance team.
  • Experience across budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and Executive/Board-level MI, with the ability to turn complex financial information into clear, meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using forecasting and planning tools. Knowledge of Anaplan is highly desirable, alongside Power BI and an understanding of financial data flows.
  • A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with Financial Services experience, good financial controls knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively and deliver effectively in a fast-paced environment.
