About the role:

The FP&A Director is a key strategic finance partner responsible for leading financial planning, forecasting, performance management and analytical support across Clarke Energy, a ~$1B global business operating across Europe, Africa, Asia and Australasia. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the role drives consistency, transparency and insight across a complex financial landscape that spans several ERP systems and multiple legal entities, currencies and reporting regimes. The position carries significant influence and accountability for shaping the Group’s FP&A processes, standards and outcomes in alignment with Rehlko’s financial governance and strategic objectives.

This is a pivotal appointment as Clarke Energy moves toward IPO readiness. The successful candidate will establish the forecasting accuracy, board-ready management information, KPI governance and controls maturity that public-market participants demand, while elevating and developing the existing finance team rather than displacing it. It is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to executive leadership and the Rehlko group finance function.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead global FP&A activities including annual operating plans, forecasts, long‑range plans, and management reporting
  • Lead consolidation efforts for Commercial analytics, specifically around Backlog, Orders, Sales and Margin reporting, driving insights on an aggregated basis to end market / customer profitability
  • Develop and maintain standardized global FP&A processes, tools, and reporting frameworks, ensuring alignment across regions and consistency with Rehlko policies and expectations.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to senior finance and operational leaders across all organizational regions and functions, providing insight into financial performance, risks, opportunities, and key value drivers.
  • Integrate and analyze financial data across several ERP systems, support efforts to drive data ingestion and consolidation in OneStream to drive improved data quality, comparability, and transparency to support enterprise‑level decision making.
  • Own and enhance financial performance metrics, dashboards, and executive‑level reporting, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, including automation, systems optimization, and adoption of best practices across the global organization.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, governance standards, working closely with controllership and audit partners, as well as strong collaboration with tax and treasury finance functions.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience at senior level.
  • Demonstrable experience working within a US-headquartered corporate group or its subsidiaries, with first-hand understanding of US corporate reporting cadences, governance expectations, internal control culture and the working norms of a US-owned multinational.
  • Strong track record in group reporting, consolidation and financial control roles within a complex, multi-entity, multi-currency international business.
  • Expert FP&A capability across annual operating plans, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, scenario modelling and management reporting at group level.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP (desirable) together with practical experience of IFRS and/or FRS 102, and the ability to operate across multiple reporting frameworks.
  • Knowledge of SOX or ICFR frameworks and experience operating within a controls-led environment, ideally in a listed or pre-IPO business.
  • High level of Excel proficiency and hands-on experience with consolidation and planning systems (e.g. OneStream, HFM, SAP BPC), alongside Power BI for self-service analytics and strong PowerPoint communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset with strong attention to detail and execution discipline.
  • Ability to balance global standardization with regional business realities.
  • Credibility as a finance thought partner and trusted advisor to senior leadership.
  • Comfort operating as a senior individual contributor with enterprise‑level impact, with ability to scale organization as required.

This a full-time permanent position, based in our head office in Liverpool with the option of home working. As part of the role there will be occasional international travel required.
