Job Description

The successful candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and undergo a post-offer screening for pre-existing medical conditions or injuries performed by an appropriately certified medical service provider. Must meet the WorkKeys minimum score requirement in the following areas to be eligible. 3– Applied Math, 3 – Workplace Documents 3– Graphic Literacy (Testing opportunities available onsite at Neptune).

Requirements:

  1. Melt quantities of non-ferrous metals and alloys in high-frequency coreless induction furnaces and line melt channel furnaces.
    Charge furnaces with proper proportions of scrap metal and ingot.
    3. Make alloy additions as necessary.
    4. Bring melt to the proper temperature.
    5. Routinely check temperatures of furnaces using DT400.
    6. Working knowledge of high-frequency coreless induction and line melt channel furnace controls.
    7. Remove slag and metal from furnace linings and reline furnaces as needed.
    8. Transfer metal from melting furnaces to Auto pour.
    9. Manually pour lost foam molds as needed.
    10. Set melt deck up with charge material as needed.
    11. Clean and maintain launders and ladles as necessary.
    12. Skim and slag Auto pour furnace as required.
    13. Perform other duties as deemed by supervision.
    For Employees Assigned to the Auto Pour:
  2. Must be able to set up & operate the auto pour.
  3. Must be able to rebuild the auto pour front launder for weekly start-up.
  4. Must maintain housekeeping in the auto-pour area.

May require annual training in Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations if hazardous wastes are handled

Note: This position qualifies for company provided uniforms.
