Job Description

A growing early-stage FinTech startup company, building a next-generation financial platform for companies, is looking for its Founding Senior Software Engineer to join the founding team and play a key role in shaping the product, architecture, and engineering culture from the ground up.

This is a unique opportunity for a senior engineer who enjoys ownership, technical challenges, and building impactful products in a highly hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own core features across the full stack.
• Build scalable backend services, APIs, and data workflows.
• Develop React-based frontend applications.
• Design reliable PostgreSQL data models and ensure data integrity.
• Take ownership of features from concept to production.
• Collaborate with the CTO and founders on architecture and product decisions.
• Contribute to engineering practices, infrastructure, and AI-assisted development workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack development background with hands-on experience with React and Rust (or similar technologies).
• Experience building production-grade web applications and scalable systems.
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL, relational data modelling, transactions, and data integrity.
• Experience designing reliable systems where correctness and consistency are critical.
• Ability to independently drive projects end-to-end with high ownership.
• Strong product mindset and ability to work closely with non-engineering stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment with ambiguity and changing priorities.
• Experience using modern AI development tools and AI-assisted workflows.

Advantages

• Previous experience as a Founding Engineer/early-stage startup engineer/ taking products from 0→1.
• Experience in FinTech, financial systems, equity compensation, or other regulated industries.
