Founding Product Engineer

What You Will Do

• Lead the development of core product features from ideation to launch, taking ownership of both frontend and backend systems.
• Build and maintain scalable APIs and services using technologies like React, TypeScript, and Go.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to ensure high-quality user experiences that meet market needs.
• Drive initiatives that enhance product performance and user engagement, utilizing data to inform decisions.
• Iterate on live production systems, ensuring reliability and responsiveness in real-world usage scenarios.
• Foster a culture of innovation and accountability within a small, agile team, contributing to a fast-paced startup environment.
• Engage in continuous learning and application of emerging technologies to improve development workflows.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 3–10 years of experience as a full-stack engineer with a strong focus on product development.
• Proven track record of building and shipping consumer-facing applications in startup settings.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and experience with at least one backend language, preferably Go.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of features from concept through deployment, with a focus on user impact and business results.
• Experience working in early-stage or high-growth startups, comfortable navigating ambiguity and rapid change.

Preferred

• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Terraform, and Redis to support infrastructure needs.
• Background in fintech or related industries, with exposure to payments, banking, or financial systems.
• Experience utilizing AI coding tools to enhance development efficiency.
• Strong educational background from a top computer science program or equivalent technical rigor.

Compensation and Benefits
