Responsibilities

Responsible for accounting functions and directly supporting the Controller. Preparation of timely month end closing, providing an analysis and understanding of financial results, and preparing detailed reconciliations. Preparation of financial budgets, forecasts and providing meaningful analysis of actual vs. forecast and budget. Preparation of various analysis and reports utilizing ERP, Microsoft Excel, and other systems. Other job duties include assisting with audits, continuous improvement, organization and documentation, special projects, and other accounting related duties as assigned.

  • Understanding of general accounting functions including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, costing, reconciliations, financial analysis, and IT systems.
  • Supporting month-end closing, preparation of journal entries, and other financial closing requirements.
  • Support in maintaining and improving internal controls, regulatory compliance, and accounting policies
  • Prepare and reconcile various balance sheet accounts.
  • Preparation of financial budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide meaningful analysis of actual results vs. budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare and maintain work instructions, documentation, and records. Identify and drive recommended cost savings and process improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent Excel skills and the skills to maintain ERP cost and ledger systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Ability to support other accounting functions and collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Must be team-oriented and work in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
  • Ability to self-manage and meet deadlines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
  • Master’s degree and/or CPA a plus
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Individual must be a:
    • Citizen of the United States, or
    • Permanent resident alien of the United States, or
    • Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) as defined by 22CFR120.15

Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to apply knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
  • Excellent analysis skills
  • Must ensure work is accurate
  • Must be a team player and able to collaborate with multi-departments
  • Must be able to work well with external contacts
  • Must have good time management and planning skills, and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to understand general ledger accounts and reconciliations
  • Must adhere to all Company policies
  • Must be capable of using a computer for majority of the workday
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
