Fostering Success Program (FSP)
1 Position Open
The FSP Peer Success Coach role engages regularly with an assigned caseload of approximately 10-15 students who are eligible for the Fostering Success Program. Peer coaches are expected to send out regular communication to students, schedule meetings, plan/promote/market and execute events, and connect students to SET Department staff, campus, and Stevens Point community resources and support.
Up to 15 Hours Per Week @ $14 Per / Hour
*Work Study OR Non-Work Study Eligible;
Work Study Preferred but NOT Required

The Office of Student Experience and Transformation (SET) aims to provide support to pre-college and college students who need help with their transition to the UWSP campus community. SET serves as a welcoming campus resource that provides academically and culturally integrated transformative experiences. SET empowers student development, connects first-generation students, and celebrates all students’ lived experiences and campus communities.
To foster transformative learning through integrated, holistic, and human-centered community experiences.
Implemented in the 2022-2023 academic year, the Fostering Success Program is designed to provide support for students who have previously experienced out-of-home placement. This includes experience with foster care or other out of home placements, legal guardianship or other court appointed statuses, orphaned or adopted, legally emancipated minors, housing or food insecurity, and low(er) socioeconomic status. Students in this program also receive other benefits, including eligibility to attend the LEAD Summer Bridge Program before their first year at UW-Stevens Point, welcome baskets, special academic year programming, social enrichment activities, exclusive access to the FSP personal hygiene pantry, and meeting regularly with a peer success coach and SET Department professional staff.
