This position contributes to the development of the volunteer frontline workforce CK Family Services needs to deliver foster parenting services. The Foster Parent Engagement Partner helps candidate homes understand the role, requirements, and expectations of foster parenting with CK Family Services; strengthens candidate readiness and capability; sustains forward progress toward verification; and partners effectively with team members involved in verification to reduce unnecessary delay, minimize inefficiency, and support progression toward verification.
Key Outputs
- Defined monthly count of completed Foster Parent Candidate Home applications.
- Reduced waste, inefficiency, and delay in candidate progression through verification, as evidenced by performance against defined process-segment KPIs.
- Defined monthly count of newly verified foster beds, by type and count.
Primary Outcome
Sufficient foster bed capacity, by type and count, to meet customer demand from EMPOWER, OCOK, and DFPS.
Success Factors
To thrive in this position, the Foster Parent Engagement Partner must be highly relational, persuasive, resilient, responsive, and persistent. Success requires the ability to establish trust, sustain engagement over time, and help candidate homes continue progressing through a demanding process that often includes uncertainty, competing priorities, hesitation, and risk of delay.
The person in this role must communicate clearly and truthfully, helping candidate homes understand both the opportunity and the expectations of serving as part of CK Family Services’ frontline foster parenting team. The Foster Parent Engagement Partner must be able to identify barriers to progress, respond in ways that strengthen candidate confidence and capability, and advocate effectively when momentum is threatened by confusion, inefficiency, or unnecessary friction in the process.
Success also requires the ability to partner effectively with team members responsible for administrative coordination and verification functions while maintaining a strongly candidate-centered approach. The Foster Parent Engagement Partner must be able to sustain forward motion across multiple active candidate homes, contribute to stronger progression toward verification, and help increase newly verified foster bed capacity needed by the organization.
Work Location and Environment
This position is based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The Foster Parent Engagement Partner works primarily from home and/or from the employee’s location within the DFW metroplex while carrying out position responsibilities. This position is not assigned a dedicated office or permanent workstation. In-person attendance at a CK Family Services office is required only as needed for meetings, training, or other business purposes.
Position Schedule and Availability
This is a salaried position funded with the expectation of a full-time, 40-hour work week. The position generally operates with primary availability during traditional business hours; however, the nature of the work requires flexibility to engage Foster Parent Candidate Homes at times that support candidate progression. Evening and other nontraditional work hours may be necessary based on candidate availability, meetings, events, and position demands. Performance in this role is measured primarily by achievement of assigned outputs and contribution to the position’s primary outcome.
