Job Description

Sample Supports is seeking compassionate, stable, and committed individuals and families to open their homes to children and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

As a foster parent with Sample Supports, you’ll have the opportunity to provide a safe, supportive home to a child who needs consistency, connection, and someone in their corner. You’ll also receive competitive monthly compensation, extensive training, 24/7 support, clinical expertise, and access to skilled respite providers.

You won’t be doing this alone. Our team is here to support you every step of the way.

To be considered for this role, you must complete the Culture Index Survey (link here) This is not a test - there are no right or wrong answers. It helps us build well-balanced teams and match people with roles where they can thrive.

Two Ways to Foster With Sample Supports

Traditional Foster Care
Provide a safe, stable, and nurturing home for a child or youth who cannot currently live with their biological family. Foster parents provide day-to-day care, consistency, encouragement, and connection while working alongside Sample Supports and the child’s care team.

CHRP Foster Care
CHRP is designed for children and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities who may require a higher level of support in the home. CHRP foster parents receive specialized training and work closely with Sample Supports’ experienced clinical and behavioral professionals.

Depending on the child, support needs may include developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, mental health needs, trauma-related responses, verbal or physical aggression, and assistance with daily living skills.

You do not have to navigate these needs alone. Sample Supports provides training, professional guidance, respite resources, and 24/7 on-call support to help foster parents succeed.

Compensation

Foster parents may receive $2,000–$5,000 per month, depending on the individual child’s level of support and care needs.

Foster care providers receive monthly compensation while providing a safe, supportive home for a child.

Compensation varies based on the individual needs of the child and eligibility for services. Actual compensation is determined by placement and service needs.

In addition to compensation, Sample Supports provides the training, professional resources, and ongoing support needed to help foster parents and children succeed together.
