Job Description

This position is responsible to provide mentoring and training new staff. The position also provides support and consultation to other Foster Care Specialists in the Grand Rapids site, including attending court, Family Team Meetings, case conferences, educational meetings, and other meetings as deemed appropriate. The Team Leader will carry a caseload of seven cases.

Annual Salary Range: $49,000.00 - $56,359.13

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities

Mentor and train new staffAttend meetings with staffCarry a caseload of 7 casesAttend court with staffProvide consultation/direction to staff when supervisor is unavailableAttend supervisory training-CWTIMeet with supervisory team as requestedProvide feedback to supervisory team regarding new staff performanceLead “Peer Supervision” meetingsBe the Educational Point of Contact and attend Educational meetings with staff when necessary

Ability to travelKnowledge of community resources in multiple countiesKnowledge of court expectations in multiple countiesKnowledgeable of DHHS and WMPC policy/proceduresKnowledgeable of CCWM policies/proceduresKnowledge of DCWL rules and regulationsKnowledge of COA standards

Recommended Employment Qualifications

Education:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in the Human Services field is required.

Experience:

A minimum of two-years experience working in a child placing agency as a foster care case worker is required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

This position requires CWTI foster care, and MI-Team Training.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have management or supervisory responsibilities of direct reports, however they willprovide Peer supervision/training/consultation when supervisor is unavailable.
