General Summary: The Adult Foster Care Coordinator provides oversight and support to Foster Homes and the children and youth who are placed in their homes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides support services for foster care homes to include, but not limited to, weekly phone contacts, and monthly visits to the homes.
• Performs assessment and evaluation of potential foster care homes for pre-placement visits, and suitable placement matches between children and care providers.
• Completes home studies and develops written recommendations.
• Applies Foster Care Licensing Standards for homes seeking licensure and monitors license compliance for licensed foster homes.
• Oversees, maintains and supports a caseload of foster homes/youth and children placed.
• Assists with presentation of initial and ongoing training of Foster Care Providers.
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with co-workers, foster care providers, professional workers, children’s family members and other stakeholders.
• Monitors communication between foster care providers and families, officials and professional workers; confers monthly with individual caseworkers and children’s’ families.
• Assists with foster home recruitment activities.
• Participates in weekly staff meetings, and weekly supervision with Foster Care Program Supervisor/Manager.
• Works a flexible schedule to meet program needs; follow agency attendance policies; participates in on-call rotation.
• Performs other duties as assigned or necessary as they relate to the general nature of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education/Experience - Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Behavioral Health and two (2) years related social or behavioral health work experience preferred.
• Or HS Diploma/GED and 5 years of relevant social or behavioral health work experienced will be considered.
• Or Master’s degree and one (1) year of relevant experience may be substituted.
REGULATORY:
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• DPS Level I fingerprint clearance (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).
• CPR, First Aid, AED certification, if required (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).
• Current, valid Arizona Driver’s License and 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration liability insurance to meet insurance requirements, if required.
• Initial current negative TB test result, if required (Employer provides).
