About the Role

We are looking for a Forwarding Specialist to join our Forwarding Department in Gothenburg.

You will become part of a team of seven forwarding professionals who work closely together, share knowledge, and support one another. The team plays an important role in ensuring that our products are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with customer requirements and international trade regulations.

As a Forwarding Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, booking, and coordinating international shipments by courier, air, sea, and road to destinations worldwide.

You will interpret shipping instructions, ensure that agreed payment and delivery terms are followed, and proactively identify and communicate any deviations to relevant stakeholders. The role requires strong attention to detail, a structured approach, and the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously. This is a full-time, permanent position, initially with a 6-month probationary period.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Booking and coordinating courier, air, sea, and road shipments worldwide
  • Reviewing and interpreting shipping instructions
  • Ensuring shipments are handled according to agreed Incoterms, payment terms, and delivery requirements
  • Communicating and managing deviations with order handlers and other stakeholders
  • Preparing and managing export documentation
  • Reviewing export documents for accuracy and compliance
  • Handling Letter of Credit presentations to banks
  • Requesting and evaluating freight quotations and price inquiries
  • Invoicing freight charges
  • Maintaining accurate shipment and order information
  • Preparing reports and statistics
  • Supporting continuous improvement within forwarding and logistics processes

About You

We are looking for a structured, detail-oriented, and service-minded professional who enjoys working in an international and fast-paced environment.

You have a strong ability to follow established processes and instructions while maintaining an overview of the entire flow. You take ownership of your responsibilities and proactively identify, communicate, and act on deviations.

As a Forwarding Specialist, you will interact with colleagues across the organization as well as customers, carriers, freight forwarders, banks, and other international partners. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are therefore essential.

You are comfortable working independently but also value being part of a team where knowledge-sharing and cooperation are important.

Requirements

  • Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transport, or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured way of working
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines
  • Ability to follow procedures and documentation requirements accurately
  • Strong communication and coordination skills

Security clearance

This is a security-classified position. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undergo security clearance prior to employment. The clearance process will take place after the candidate has been selected.

It’s a Plus If You Have

  • Education in Logistics, Transport, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Good knowledge of Incoterms
  • Experience with courier, air, sea, and/or road freight
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  • Knowledge and experience of Letter of Credit handling and bank presentations
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods (DGR) regulations
  • Experience with international export documentation and customs procedures
