Join the Nanites initiative, where you’ll be driving the integration and adoption of agentic workflows within ING’s engineering ecosystem, focusing on Frontend technology stacks. You will collaborate closely with platform engineers, golden path owners, and product teams to redesign agentic workflows, promote new engineering practices using AI tooling, and facilitate community engagement. The team’s short-term mission centers on delivering new capabilities for the Nanites agentic platform.

The job
As a Forward Engineer
Your work will focus on building ING’s Nanites agentic platform.
Lead communities of engineers and organize engagements across ING.
You are a highly skilled Software Engineer looking forward to designing, implementing, and promoting agentic workflows for Frontend technologies within the ING ecosystem You act as a community advocate, gather feedback, and support the adoption of new engineering practices.
You can lead conversations about relevant technologies, learn new ones, and constantly share knowledge with the team.

You have excellent spoken and written English, and you can effectively convey complex technical concepts. You have no problem communicating with Engineers of different levels and skills.
Your key competencies / skills:
Proven track record of being an engineering community lead.
Strong expertise in ING IT technology stacks.
Understanding of LLMs, agents, agentic workflows, and other tools around AI for Engineering.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, templates, SDKs, and automation tools.
Extensive professional experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
You have a good understanding of Software Architecture.
Excellent team player who is quality focused, service oriented, and eager to learn.
Experience working on an (internal) open-source project offering support to other teams and colleagues.
Extensive knowledge of risk and security measures.
Strong communication and good social skills
Excellent spoken and written English.
