Job Description

Variance is building an AI platform for managing adversarial risk and investigations.

We apply AI agents to billions of events daily to protect millions of users from spam, scams, and abuse. We are hiring a forward-deployed engineer who will own the strategy and implementation of our product into customer data backends to solve real problems at massive scale. Our customers include Fortune 500 companies and tech unicorns, and we are rapidly growing.

This is an in-person position. Our office is located in San Francisco, CA.

What will your day-to-day look like

  • Own the end-to-end integration strategy of Variance to our enterprise customers

  • Understand and partner with customers to understand their needs and set their strategy with Variance

  • Build GenAI-powered agentic workflows and automation for billion-scale events

  • Serve as the primary, ongoing technical point of contact for our users

Requirements

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

  • Past experience working with LLM solutions, and a deep understanding of GenAI

  • Strong Coder with proficiency in Python, Java, Typescript, or similar

  • Self-directed and comfortable working with ambiguity
