Job Description

KalSoft is currently looking for an experienced Fortinet Security Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in network security, Fortinet solutions, firewall management, and enterprise cybersecurity environments. The candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing, monitoring, and supporting Fortinet-based security infrastructure while ensuring secure and reliable enterprise operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing, configuring, and supporting Fortinet security solutions including FortiGate firewalls.
• Monitoring network security infrastructure, security events, and operational alerts.
• Performing firewall policy management, VPN configuration, and security rule optimization.
• Handling security incidents, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for network and security issues.
• Supporting intrusion prevention, web filtering, antivirus, and application control solutions.
• Managing secure remote access solutions and site-to-site VPN connectivity.
• Conducting security assessments, vulnerability reviews, and compliance checks.
• Coordinating with infrastructure and operations teams for security implementation and support.
• Supporting backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities related to security systems.
• Maintaining technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational reports.
• Ensuring compliance with security standards, policies, and operational procedures.
• Supporting patch management, firmware upgrades, and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Participating in security improvement initiatives and operational enhancement projects.
• Providing primarily remote operational support with local support availability when required.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of overall professional experience
• At least 3 years of experience in Network Security, Firewall Administration, or Cybersecurity environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet security solutions including FortiGate firewalls
• Experience with VPNs, IPS/IDS, web filtering, antivirus, and network access security
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and security protocols
• Experience in enterprise, government, or banking environments preferred
• Experience in managed services or 24x7 operational support environments is an advantage
• Fortinet NSE4 and/or NSE5 certifications are mandatory
• Knowledge of SIEM, monitoring tools, and security best practices is preferred
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and coordination abilities
• Kuwait / GCC preferred (or candidates eligible for legal sponsorship)
