Job Summary

MacLean-Fogg is seeking a Forming Operator - 3rd Shift to support production operations at our Saegertown, Pennsylvania facility. In this entry-level manufacturing role, you will operate and monitor forming equipment, perform quality checks, and help maintain safe, efficient production.   • Location: Saegertown, PA
  • Work Arrangement: On-site
  • Schedule: Night / 3rd Shift | Sunday-Thursday, 9:00 PM-7:00 AM
  • Pay: $20.00/hour
  • Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly
  • Overtime: Regular overtime is expected.

What You'll Do as a Forming Operator - 3rd Shift

  • Operate forming equipment according to established work instructions and production requirements.
  • Assist with machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers under supervision.
  • Load raw materials into equipment and ensure proper material flow throughout production.
  • Monitor machine performance and report equipment issues, jams, or abnormalities.
  • Perform in-process inspections using gauges and measuring tools to verify product specifications.
  • Identify and separate non-conforming materials and promptly communicate quality concerns.
  • Complete production documentation, including production tracking and scrap reporting.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Follow all safety requirements, including lockout/tagout procedures and machine guarding practices.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities as directed.
  • Assist with material handling, packaging, and labeling of finished products.
  • Participate in training, continuous improvement initiatives, and other assigned tasks.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of manufacturing or production experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to use simple measuring tools and gauges.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively under direct supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience operating production equipment or machinery.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and walking.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35-50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, oil, and moving machinery.
  • Manual dexterity required to operate equipment and use measuring tools.
  • Visual ability to inspect parts and read production documentation.
