Set-up, adjust, and operate a CNC control laser to cut parts to print specifications. Other duties include loading and unloading of sheet steel and sorting parts. Operational 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift with possible overtime.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Related work experience preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stay stationary/traverse 8 hrs. per shift. Frequently balance and push/pull. Occasionally bend, squat, reach above shoulder level. Frequent lifting and carrying from 0 to 40 lbs. Must be able to see, hear, use a foot pedal, and do simple but firm grasping with both hands on a repetitive basis. Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to vibration, dust, solvents, grease, and oil. Must be able to work safely in areas of lift truck traffic.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Read blueprints and understand basic math, including fractions, decimals, and angles. Must have knowledge of CNC programming and have mechanical inclination. Must be able to remember, observe, and solve problems. May require a valid driver’s license.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
Form dies, overhead bridge crane, walkie truck, hammers, air tools, wrenches, verniers, miscellaneous inspection equipment. Must wear safety gloves, safety shoes, safety glasses and shields, hearing protection, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
