Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Schedule and coordinate shipments.
  2. Accurately select and pack items based on customer sales orders.
  3. Load and unload delivery vehicles with products using forklifts and pallet jacks.
  4. Operate warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or shortages to supervisors.
  6. Package all items for shipping, ensuring they are properly protected and labeled.
  7. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse workspace.

Qualifications:

  1. Prior experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center preferred.
  2. Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  4. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks required for order fulfillment.
  5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  6. Flexibility to work Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, with occasional overtime as needed.
  7. Shipping system knowledge and ability to schedule shipments with accuracy.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  2. Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  3. Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.

Work Environment:

  1. Fast-paced warehouse environment.
  2. Exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.

Compensation: Pay rate will be based upon qualifications and experience can range from $17-$18 per hour. Matworks offers a comprehensive benefits package consisting of medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. We also offer participation in our 401(k) and profit-sharing programs.

The late Emmett Hart established Mountville Mills in 1963 in a small building just outside of LaGrange, Georgia. Hart worked at Callaway Mills for 15 years in the design and development departments before starting his own company with the encouragement of his wife, Nancy.
