Arnold Lumber Company is seeking a variety of dependable, safety-focused Yard Operations positions, including experienced Material Handlers and Receivers to join our Yard team. In this hands-on role, you will receive and inspect incoming materials, maintain accurate inventory, prepare orders, and help ensure products move safely and efficiently through our operation.

This is an opportunity to learn the building-materials industry, develop valuable warehouse and equipment skills, and build a foundation for continued growth within Arnold Lumber.

What You Will Do

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming lumber and building materials
• Verify quantities and product quality against shipment documentation
• Enter received materials and reconcile inventory discrepancies
• Pick, stage, and palletize products for customers, transfers, and deliveries
• Safely load and unload delivery vehicles and tractor-trailers
• Maintain accurate paperwork, including packing slips and invoices
• Properly handle, organize, and store materials to prevent damage
• Report damaged or unsaleable products
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and receiving area
• Work closely with sales, warehouse, and delivery teams to keep materials moving efficiently

Qualifications: Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Lumberyard, warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience preferred
• Forklift certification preferred
• Ability to operate or learn to operate warehouse equipment
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 80 pounds
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and perform repetitive lifting throughout the workday
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
