1 Resource Group is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator / Material Handler for a fast-paced warehouse operation in Humble, TX.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating 15,000-pound capacity forklifts and safely moving large, heavy, and fragile equipment This position requires an experienced operator who understands that moving oversized or high-value equipment takes more than basic forklift skills—it requires precision, excellent judgment, and a strong commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate 15,000-lb. capacity forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers safely and accurately.
- Transport, position, and stage large, heavy, and fragile equipment while preventing damage.
- Properly secure and stabilize loads before movement.
- Move and organize materials throughout the warehouse and staging areas.
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and condition.
- Pick, stage, and prepare materials and equipment for shipment.
- Assist with shipping and receiving operations.
- Inspect forklifts and material-handling equipment before and after use.
- Immediately report equipment damage, safety concerns, or maintenance needs.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing equipment for visible damage or discrepancies.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Assist with additional warehouse and material-handling duties as needed.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse and material-handling experience
- Proven forklift operating experience.
- Experience operating 15,000-lb. capacity forklifts strongly preferred.
- Experience handling large, oversized, heavy, or fragile equipment
- Experience loading and unloading trucks and trailers.
- Ability to safely maneuver equipment in warehouse, dock, and staging areas.
- Strong understanding of load stability, weight distribution, and safe material-handling practices.
- Ability to perform daily forklift inspections and identify potential safety or maintenance issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to preventing equipment damage.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday.
- Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely climb on and off forklift equipment throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in an active warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an experienced forklift operator—not an entry-level operator Candidates should be confident handling larger-capacity forklifts and understand the care required when moving heavy, fragile, and high-value equipment
