About the position:

We are seeking a Forklift Operator to efficiently manage the distribution of freight within our Gillman Depot. The position is responsible for loading, unloading containers, sorting and staging consignments from receival through to dispatch.

Additionally, the Forklift Operator will manage inbound and outbound freight, report damaged goods, consolidate pallets for return and complete daily pre-start activities and vehicle checks to ensure safe and effective operations.

This position is permanent full time, Monday to Friday, working 38 hours each week, 6AM to 2PM with potential overtime.

What you will be doing:

• Valid Forklift License
• Previous forklift experience in a logistics environment (container experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of the Chain of Responsibility and Safe Manual Handling Practices
• Dedication to safety protocols and a cooperative team-oriented approach
• High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines

About you:

• Current Forklift License
• Prior forklift experience within a logistics setting.
• Proficiency in understanding and adhering to the Chain of Responsibility and Safe Manual Handling Practices.
• A steadfast commitment to safety protocols and a collaborative teamwork approach.
• Exceptional attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to accuracy.
• Literacy and comprehension.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
