We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient movement and storage of goods within our warehouse, supporting overall operational success.

Primary Duties

  • Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Receive, unload, and store incoming shipments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met.
  • Maintain organization of inventory and storage areas to optimize space and facilitate easy access.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and maintenance on forklifts and report any malfunctions or hazards immediately.
  • Collaborate closely with warehouse staff and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and resolve any operational issues.
  • Adhere to established protocols for documentation and reporting of inventory movements and order statuses.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements and participating in safety training programs.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards related to material handling and machinery operation.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records.
  • Physical ability to handle lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Proactive approach to identifying potential risks and hazards and taking corrective actions.
  • Basic computer skills to navigate inventory management systems are preferred.

Education / Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience as a forklift operator or similar role in warehouse operations is highly valued. Relevant forklift certification or training is required to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

The US base rate for this full-time position is 20.75. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
