Job Description

This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to become part of the Russellville Night Shift Dry-End team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for driving a diesel-powered Taylor 360 industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials.

This is a safety sensitive position as defined under Arkansas state law.

What you will do:

  • Separate and re-inject lumber that has fallen from packs of lumber being transported from Green Stackers to the Kilns
  • Transport lumber and stack in the designated areas.
  • Keep lumber yard in a clean and organized manner.
  • Assist Supervisor in daily tasks as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining and cleaning of the dry kilns/assigned areas during maintenance periods.
  • Strong commitment to working safely
  • Performing daily inspections of lift trucks and completing required forms
  • Ensuring lift truck maintenance and servicing requirements are met
  • Loading and unloading materials in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintaining contact with the supervisor(s) and working to resolve any issues as they may they arise
  • Following all regulations, company policies, and procedures
  • Other duties as necessary/assigned

What you must have to be successful:

  • Willing to work any shift (Required)
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Minimum age of 18 years (Required)
  • Excellent safety record
  • Follow all safety criteria and contribute to the safety program
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Demonstrable mechanical aptitude & Basic maintenance skills
  • Able to climb ladders and work in elevated workplaces
  • Capable of working in tight close spaces
  • Ability to make quality control checks and adjustments at the assigned area and/or other related equipment.
  • Ability to keep the department clean and meet housekeeping standards.
  • Willing to cross-train on other equipment
