Location: Tooele, UT

Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM, subject to change based on business need

Job

ForkliftOperatorssupportthemovementofmaterialsandproducts,including taking part in warehouse organizing and finished goods inspection, and loading customer trucks. Standard work week 40 hours a week with occasional overtime, no travel required

DutiesandResponsibilities:

  • Performpre-shiftforkliftinspectionsonforklift.
  • Record preventative maintenance activities, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, productionoutputandotherkeymetrics,performingmathematicalcalculationsasneeded.
  • Safelyoperateapropanesit-downforklifttomoverawmaterialsorfinishedproductsthroughout the manufacturing floor, which includes, but is not limited to, keeping production line clear and running and keeping product and raw materials properly stored
  • Visuallyinspectmaterialforqualitydefects;Segregatedefectiveproductandnotifysupervisor.
  • Filldumpstersfromproductionfloor;Housekeepingofplant(insideandout).
  • Workasateamwithproductionandshippingteamtofollowallfacility StandardWorks/processes and improve operations.
  • Supporttherecyclingarea,whenneeded,andhelptokeepitorganized.
  • Fillinonotherareasoftheplant(e.g.,MachineOperator)asrequired
  • AssistsforkliftoperatorIIasneeded.
  • Otherdutiesasassigned.

RequiredKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Highlymotivatedwithagood,soundworkethic.
  • Priorexperienceoperatingapropanesit-downforkliftorothermobileequipment(Powered Industrial Trucks).
  • Mustdemonstratesafeworkingpracticesandpossessgreatattentiontodetail.
  • AbilitytofollowCWT’spolicies,procedures,andprocesses.
  • Goodcommunication,organization,andtimemanagementskills.
  • Basiccomputer,mathematics,andproblem-solvingskills;abilitytouseacalculator.
  • Abilitytousemeasuringdevices(gauges,tapes,rulers).
  • Teamplayerabletofollowinstructionsfrombothmanagementandpeers.
  • Abilitytolearnandoperatenewequipment.

EducationandExperience:

  • Required:
  • HighSchoolDiplomaorGEDisPreferred
  • Mustbeatleast18yearsofageorolder.
  • Priorexperienceinamanufacturingsettingpreferred.

WorkingConditions:

  • Fastpacedmanufacturingenvironmentwhereworkersareexposedtobothambient/outside temperatures and dust; working with mechanical parts and pinch points; exposure to increased noise levels.
  • Hoursworked:8-10hours/shift,variesonshiftscheduleandbusinessvolume.
  • Flexibletothepossibilityofovertimeandweekendhourswhenrequired
