Job Description

Tier One Supplier to Hyundai and KIA is seeking certified sit-down forklift operators to join their team!!

All shifts available.

1st shift - 07:00 AM TO 04:00 PM or until done Monday through Friday

2nd shift - 04:00 PM TO 01:00 AM or until done Monday through Friday

3rd shift - 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM or until done Sunday through Thursday

Efficiently and safely transports materials to appropriate racks and Line Operators in an accurate and timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas using a Sit-down Fork Lift.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures.
  • Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
  • Participates in quality improvement efforts.
  • Assists on kitting line as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years related experience as a sit-down forklift operator. With experience within the last 12-months.
  • Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
  • Forklift certified. (YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE A COPY OF YOUR FORKLIFT CERTIFICATION OR BE ABLE TO VERIFY YOUR CERTIFICATION WITH A PREVIOUS EMPLOYER)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG SCREEN.
  • Must be 19 years of age or older

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lift and move a minimum of 70 pounds without assistance.
  • Walk, bend, and climb stairs.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Wear appropriate safety equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • A large percentage of work time is spent in a warehouse where temperatures can vary from hot to cold and noise level can be moderate to high.
