Job Description

Job Location Central Warehouse - 7940 S Valley View Blvd - Las Vegas, NV 89139 Salary Range $14.00 - $14.00 Hourly

To lead the Forklift Drivers and Inventory process for the Warehouse, including Dock, Receiving, Salvage, E-Waste, Recycling, and Trash processes. Coordinates with the Dock Leads on product inbound daily to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of all distribution operations and maintains product storage in accordance with the warehouse operating plan and conducts thorough and accurate inventory counts daily. The overall goal is to get product put away and needed product distributed to the production team, dock and clearance teams to maximize retail and salvage sales by “getting the right merchandise to the right place at the right time.”


Supervision Received: The Forklift Lead receives supervision from the Support Manager and Operations Manager.
Supervision Exercised: The Forklift Lead will provide direct leadership to personnel operating Forklifts in the Dock, Receiving, E-Waste, Clearance Center and Salvage areas, and other personnel as needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Complete all related paperwork and inventory reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Conduct hard counts of all inventory daily and update inventory spreadsheet, including accounting for all daily inbound and outbound product as well as product used in the clearance store and production.
  • Serve as liaison between the Forklift Drivers and the Dock and Production team to provide exceptional customer service in meeting warehouse daily operating goals.
  • Standardize through written procedures and training the most efficient use of labor in each assigned area with daily standards of performance.
  • Make timely adjustments to increase warehouse and inventory efficiency & quality based upon daily results.
  • Act as support to the Production team and Dock team to ensure load outs are completed quickly and efficiently and that product in the staging area is moved to storage quickly and inventoried to maximize dock effectiveness.
  • Training for Operations personnel.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by Operations Management.
  • Assists in any other projects as determined by management.
  • Ensure compliance with all Goodwill of Southern Nevada (GWSN) policies provided in the Team Member Goodwill Guidebook, Goodwill Industries International standards, and safety and security regulations.
  • Adhere to all GWSN Manuals, handbooks, policies and procedures.

Physical Factors:

  • Lift/Carry: 100 lbs.
  • Push/Pull: Heavy up to 100 lbs.


Environmental Factors: Due to the donation of materials, dust and animal hair may be present in the warehouse throughout the year. Ninety percent of the duties are performed in the Goodwill Distribution Center with concrete flooring that has quasi-regulated temperatures. Ten percent of the duties involve being outside receiving donations deliveries or possibly loading/unloading a vehicle. Position is generally standing and walking; some bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting will be required when dealing with merchandise or donations. Exposure to heat, cold, dust and sometimes humidity is a possibility. Warehouse environment which means working with limited air conditioning or heat.



Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of a high school or GED diploma.
  • Excellent knowledge of merchandise in terms of quality, value and knowledge about secondary markets for post retail merchandise and Recycling.
  • Competent in internet use and a variety of computer software applications.
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal communication skills and excellent writing skills.
  • Must have excellent organizational, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Must exhibit a high level of integrity and business ethics.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, listen to and motivate Team Members.
  • Must have reliable transportation for daily tasks as needed.
  • Must be fluent in English; bilingual a plus.
  • Must exhibit a high level of integrity and business ethics.
  • Requires a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
  • No record or disclosure of criminal conviction within 7 years from date of application that indicates a tendency towards theft, violence, dishonesty, deceit, drug manufacture or sale, moral turpitude, or predatory behavior.
  • Must provide proof of identification and eligibility to work in the United States of America.
