Job Description

Zerella Fresh is one of Australia’s largest grower and packers of Carrots, Onions and Potatoes supplying Australia’s leading supermarket chains plus independents and exports.

We are currently seeking various experienced Forklift Drivers to join our multiple locations within our sites across South Australia.

Duties include:

  • Operate controls to align forklifts and raise and lower forks to stack and unstack items in the packing facility, warehouses, and the main farm site.
  • Safely and efficiently operate forklift to transport bins, crates, pallets, and load/unload trailers in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete daily/weekly start-up checklist and report deficiencies to supervisors or the maintenance department in a timely manner.
  • Operate forklifts which run on rails or use electronic guidance systems to control movements in narrow aisles.
  • Transport goods to designated areas in the packing facility, warehouses, workshops, and the main farm site.
  • Ensure goods are stored in correct areas so that they can be easily located when orders are made up.
  • Make up customer orders and check the grade of materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Ensure compliance of different stacking requirements for each sku, customer and transport.
  • Ensure all bins and crates are wrapped and labelled correctly before transporting.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding movements of supplies, materials, and products.
  • Label and store produce in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Ensure paperwork is completed, verified, and signed before submitting.
  • Monitor equipment operation visually through gauges and instruments and through computerised monitoring equipment.
  • Routinely inspect equipment to identify wear and damage, perform servicing, minor repairs, and adjustments to forklifts.
  • All other requirements as directed to achieve business objectives.

Position Details:

  • Current High-Risk Work Licence (required).
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced environment (required).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Cultural adaptability and a willingness to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A willingness to be hands on and participate in a broad range of duties, a strong work ethic is essential.

This position may require weekend and night work in line with production demands.
