Reporting To: Logistics Team Leader / Shift Manager

Role Purpose

To safely and efficiently operate forklift equipment within the Logistics Yard, ensuring the accurate movement, storage, loading, and unloading of finished goods while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork. The role supports the daily logistics operation and helps ensure customer service requirements are achieved. A consistent focus on safety, operational performance, space utilisation, and teamwork is expected.

Hours of Work

  • Hours of work will be scheduled between 7:00am and 11:00pm
  • The successful candidate must be flexible and available to work across all shift patterns within these operating hours.
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required to support business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Load and unload vehicles in accordance with company procedures.
  • Transport finished goods and packaging materials throughout the site.
  • Complete stock movements accurately using warehouse management systems and handheld devices.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the Logistics Yard.
  • Ensure trailers, loading bays, and storage locations are utilised effectively.
  • Carry out daily forklift inspections and report any defects immediately.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and site rules.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock accuracy activities.
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse, transport, production, and customer service teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics operation.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all HEINEKEN safety standards and procedures.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Report hazards, near misses, and incidents promptly.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Operate equipment only when trained and authorised to do so. Safety performance is a key expectation of the role.

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.

  • Basic IT and system usage skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly across shifts.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in FMCG, brewing, or beverage logistics operations.
  • Reach Truck qualifications.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Continuous improvement or TPM experience.
