Job Title: Forklift Driver

Department: Processing Operations

Location: Moses Lake, WA

Reports To: Processing Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation $21.60 - 23.50 an hour


The Forklift Driver is responsible for efficiently managing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of finished goods using forklifts. This role supports the organization's goals by ensuring accurate inventory management and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Essential Job Functions

  • Receive and verify finished goods against purchase orders and work orders.
  • Transport finished goods to storage areas and organize them in appropriate locations using forklifts.
  • Pick finished goods from designated locations and complete transactions on the computerRF Scanner or pick sheet.
  • Build and mark pallets for efficient delivery.
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts and assist with cycle counting.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Actively participate in and promote a safety culture by following safe work practices and adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Report incidents, accidents and any unsafe conditions.
  • Supply materials to Denesters, Packers, and Palletizers
  • Inventory materials into warehouse
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 0-2 years of general work experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must pass a forklift driving test.
  • Ability to read, understand, and speak simple sentences and follow directions and instructions
  • Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with two-digit numbers, and working with money, weight, volume, and distance.
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends andor holiday hours as required based on the production demand
  • Ability to work in various climate conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Ability to use inventory management software and basic computer skills.
  • At least 3 years of experience driving forklifts preferably standup forklifts and pallet jacks

Work Environment

The Forklift Driver will work within a warehouse environment where maintaining a clean and safe workspace is essential. The position requires the ability to operate forklifts and other equipment in a cold environment, with constant temperatures ranging from 30-45 degrees Fahrenheit and occasional exposure to temperatures as low as zero degrees. The role demands physical stamina and the ability to work independently, following objectives with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
