Job Description

We are seeking a Forklift Driver/Warehouse Associate to join our team. This position plays an essential role in the day-to-day operations of a warehouse or distribution center. Their responsibilities primarily revolve around handling, storing, and moving goods within the warehouse. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing various tasks in a warehouse environment to ensure the efficient and accurate handling of goods. They play a crucial role in inventory management, order fulfillment, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.

Open shifts are 11AM– 7PM & 1:30PM to 10PM

Pay: $17- $19 per hour

Responsibilities

• Order Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack orders based on packing lists or instructions. Verify the correctness of items picked and packed.
• Receiving and Unloading: Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the received goods. Unload, inspect, and document any damaged or defective items. Properly label and store received goods in designated locations.
• Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records. Perform cycle counts and periodic inventory checks. Report any discrepancies or inventory issues to supervisors.
• Material Handling: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Move materials and products within the warehouse as needed. Ensure proper stacking and storage of products to maximize space utilization.
• Order Shipping: Prepare shipping labels, documents, and paperwork for outbound orders. Load and unload trucks for shipping and receiving purposes. Ensure all shipments are properly sealed and labeled.
• Quality Control: Inspect products for quality and report any damaged or defective items. Follow quality control procedures to maintain product integrity.
• Safety and Cleanliness: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Keep the warehouse clean and organized, including sweeping, stacking, and disposing of debris.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with other warehouse associates and supervisors to achieve team goals. Assist in training new warehouse employees when necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications may be beneficial.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) and follow safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management and order tracking.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team
• For this position, it is required to be able to lift to 50 pounds

Responsabilidades
Selección y empaquetado de pedidos:

• Seleccionar y empacar pedidos con precisión según listas de empaque o instrucciones.
• Verificar la exactitud de los artículos seleccionados y empacados.

Recepción y descarga:

• Recibir los envíos entrantes y verificar la exactitud de los productos recibidos.
• Descargar, inspeccionar y documentar cualquier artículo dañado o defectuoso.
• Etiquetar y almacenar adecuadamente los productos en las ubicaciones designadas.

Gestión de inventario:

• Ayudar a mantener registros precisos de inventario.
• Realizar conteos cíclicos y revisiones periódicas de inventario.
• Informar cualquier discrepancia o problema de inventario a los supervisores.

Manipulación de materiales:

• Operar montacargas, transpaletas y otros equipos de almacén de manera segura y eficiente.
• Mover materiales y productos dentro del almacén según sea necesario.
• Asegurar el apilamiento y almacenamiento adecuado de los productos para maximizar el uso del espacio.

Envío de pedidos:

• Preparar etiquetas de envío, documentos y papeleo para los pedidos salientes.
• Cargar y descargar camiones para propósitos de envío y recepción.
• Asegurar que todos los envíos estén correctamente sellados y etiquetados.

Control de calidad:

• Inspeccionar productos para verificar su calidad e informar sobre cualquier artículo dañado o defectuoso.
• Seguir procedimientos de control de calidad para mantener la integridad del producto.

Seguridad y limpieza:

• Cumplir con los protocolos y directrices de seguridad para mantener un entorno laboral seguro.
• Mantener el almacén limpio y organizado, incluyendo barrido, apilado y eliminación de desechos.

Trabajo en equipo:

• Colaborar con otros asociados de almacén y supervisores para lograr los objetivos del equipo.
• Ayudar en la capacitación de nuevos empleados del almacén cuando sea necesario.

Requisitos

• Diploma de escuela secundaria o equivalente; educación adicional o certificaciones pueden ser beneficiosas.
• Experiencia previa en un entorno de almacén o logística es una ventaja.
• Capacidad para operar equipos de almacén (montacargas, transpaletas) y seguir procedimientos de seguridad.
• Gran atención al detalle y precisión en el cumplimiento de pedidos.
• Conocimientos básicos de informática para la gestión de inventario y seguimiento de pedidos.
• Buen estado físico y capacidad para levantar y cargar objetos pesados.
• Habilidades de comunicación y capacidad para trabajar en equipo.
• Para este puesto, se requiere la capacidad de levantar hasta 50 libras (22.7 kg).
