Perform basic tree trimming, pruning, topping and removal; assist in digging, balling and burlapping of plants and trees for transplanting and operate powered and non-powered hand tools.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential functions may include but are not limited to the functions listed below. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
High school diploma or GED; and
One (1) year of general grounds maintenance, forestry or nursery experience preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Possession of a Forestry Worker Certificate, Level I Certificate within ninety (90) days from date of hire.
Environmental:
Field environment; exposure to inclement weather conditions; work around construction equipment.
Physical:
Essential and supplemental functions require maintaining physical condition necessary for standing and walking for prolonged periods of time; moderate to heavy lifting and carrying; operating motorized equipment and vehicles.
