Looking for a summer job where you can work outdoors and help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the community? The Salem YMCA is hiring Seasonal Maintenance Staff to support operations at the Forest River Park Pool for the Summer 2026 season!
This role is essential in helping maintain a safe and enjoyable space for families and visitors throughout the busy summer months.
🧹 Position Responsibilities
Perform light cleaning and sanitization tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal
Clean and maintain locker rooms, restrooms, and pool deck areas
Support general upkeep and cleanliness of the facility
Respond to cleaning needs and requests as they arise
Follow daily cleaning checklists and safety procedures

Ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and willingness to take initiative
Positive, reliable, and ready-to-help attitude
Previous cleaning experience preferred, but not required
Experience working around children or family environments is a plus

Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age
Applicants must submit a completed employment application
Must have summer availability from June through September, with a flexible schedule
The park is open from 11 am to 6 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and on Wednesdays from 11 am to 8 pm.
