
We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated leader who enjoys working outdoors to support our residential/commercial tree care crews in the Hampton Roads, VA area.
The Foreperson leads their crew(s) to complete daily tasks related to residential/commercial tree care services. This includes tree removals, pruning, stump grinding, storm remediation, and debris removal. This is a Working Foreperson position that also oversees crew safety and productivity as well as completing all time submissions and required documentation. The position interacts directly with customers to ensure a full understanding of the work being performed and to secure total customer satisfaction upon completion.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and guidance to field staff, including training and development.
• Notify private property owners of presence on the property; obtain permission to perform specified services; discuss issues such as obtaining access, power interruption, work to be done, etc. with customer and/or property owner.
• Continually monitor the site for changing safety conditions and related issues.
• Ensure daily work is completed in accordance with job specifications and customer requirements
• Obey and assure that all company standards, policies, and procedures are complied with by you and your crew.
• Responsible for all company equipment and material assigned to you.
• Track hours and submit daily through Arborgold software for self and crew.
• Monitor the quality of work and be proactive in bringing issues to the customer’s attention by inspecting the job site at the end of each day.
• Oversee equipment and material usage, and cleanup.
• Maintain above-standard customer relations.
• May be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested.
Education and Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Two years of supervisory experience within the Tree or Landscape Management Industry (preferred).
· Prior experience in residential/ commercial vegetation management, construction, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
· Meets and demonstrates qualifications for all positions on a crew.
· Delegates work and takes accountability for the performance of the crew.
· Ability to read and understand work orders.
· Experience in safe operations and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
· Able to adjust to field requirements and take independent action without close supervision.
· Possess a valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
· Knowledge of botanical and common names of trees and plants is a plus.
· Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Work authorization requirements:
Must meet I-9 requirements.
