We are looking for PLUMBING LEADERS who can motivate a team and successfully run jobs.
Responsible for ensuring all assigned duties related to plumbing, daily quality control and safety activities, and facility housekeeping objectives are understood and followed, working under the general direction of the Field Supervisor. Acts as resource and lead position for other team members.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Ensures personal safety and the safety of crew members is top priority.
  2. Works and supervises a small crew of workers and acts as first line of defense on job problems.
  3. Reads blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks and waste and drainage systems.
  4. Works in cooperation with other trades and laborers to ensure that all specifications, legislation and policies are met, to ensure efficient completion of any project.
  5. Plans two weeks ahead and orders materials accordingly.
  6. Connects tubing and fittings using solder paste, or solder and torch, to form sewer, drain, and water lines.
  7. Directs workers engaged in preassembly and installation of wall systems, such as risers, air chambers, and shower assemblies.
  8. Selects and inserts precut pieces of copper tubing and fittings in holes and connects tubing and fittings using solder paste, or solder and torch, to form drain and water lines.
  9. Conducts weekly job safety meetings.
  10. Develops and maintains good working relationship with owner/site supervisor/maintenance director.
  11. Ensures all water supply networks and waste and drainage systems are installed, repaired and maintained to meet all standards of building codes and safety.
  12. Checks subordinate timecards for accuracy.
  13. Attends weekly jobsite meetings with GC’s and coordinates with the GC’s site supervisor.
  14. Informs Field Supervisor of changes, upset conditions or emergencies within the department.
  15. Ensures worksite is kept clear and clean from debris and trash,
  16. Keeps necessary records of installations and repairs performed on equipment to comply with government requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures.
  17. Completes all required paperwork using basic math skills as needed.

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans
  • Must have a working knowledge, understanding and ability to comply with all Federal, State, Local, and Company regulations, policies, guidelines, and procedures
  • Must have a working knowledge for the use of tools, including, but not limited to saws, cutting and solder torches, benders and welders.
  • Must have a working knowledge and be able to operate the following equipment: forklift, man-lift and other vertical lifting equipment.
  • Required to complete all required certifications and training for job level and show competency in assigned tasks under general supervision.
  • Ability to follow and understand technical instructions and specifications.
  • Team oriented
  • Able to work independently
  • Proficient at reading shop drawings
  • Proficient at using all test equipment associated with troubleshooting installed equipment.
