Corporate – Workspace is primarily in the Administrative Building

In Field – Workspace is primarily Off Site at various locations around the island

Plant Area- Workspace is primarily in the Power Plant Area

Hybrid – Workspace is a combination of in the Administrative Building and in the Field or in the Plant Area

Satellite- Workspace is at one of CUC’s satellite locations

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Supervision of and participation in the maintenance and construction of the transmission and distribution lines network and in accordance with pre-set skill level in the lineman apprenticeship training program, including

• trouble shooting, repair and replacement
• installation of lines poles and equipment
• climbing of poles, stringing lines and working with hot lines
• service connection and disconnection
• preparing daily work order sheets and other related paper work as necessary
• to work overtime as required
• perform stand-by duties as required after normal working hours

Assist in the interpretation of work orders and ensuring work is completed in accordance with the work order and Company standards.

Performing all work in an efficient and safe manner in accordance with the Company's safety procedures and practices including the conducting of job safety planning daily.

Training and supervision of subordinate staff to ensure knowledge of, and compliance with Company standards and safety rules.

Other duties as required.

Requirements

Applicants should possess

Completion of a certified lineman apprenticeship program.

Five (5) years related experience in transmission line construction and maintenance

Supervisory experience required

High school diploma and formal electrical transmission and distribution line training
