Job Description

Our client, a leading civil and industrial contractor, is seeking an experienced Foreman for a long-term industrial project based in Kildare The successful candidate will play a key role in managing daily site operations, coordinating teams, and ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This is a great opportunity to join a reputable contractor with a strong pipeline of work in the region.

To be successful in this role, the preferred candidate will have a solid background in industrial or civil construction, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee daily site operations and ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently.
2. Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and plant/equipment usage.
3. Monitor progress and ensure adherence to project timelines and specifications.
4. Implement and enforce health & safety procedures on-site.
5. Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs and progress reports.
6. Liaise with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to resolve site issues.
7. Ensure quality control and compliance with design and engineering standards.
8. Assist in planning and sequencing of construction activities.
9. Support the delivery of project milestones and handover requirements.

Requirements:

1. 5+ years’ experience in a Foreman or Site Supervisor role within industrial or civil construction.
2. Proven ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively.
3. Strong understanding of construction methodologies and safety regulations.
4. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
6. Relevant construction or trade qualifications.
