CONTEXT: Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Field Foreman to lead HydroVac and HydroTest operations for projects across multiple locations. This role is responsible for overseeing field crews, coordinating daily operations, ensuring safety and quality compliance, and driving efficient project execution in demanding field environments.
The ideal candidate is a strong field leader with experience in hydro excavation, hydro testing, pipeline or industrial services, and the ability to manage crews, equipment, schedules, and customer expectations in fast-paced operational settings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and supervise HydroVac and HydroTest field operations across multiple job sites.
- Coordinate daily activities of field crews, operators, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and customer requirements.
- Conduct pre-job planning, JSA meetings, and daily safety briefings.
- Monitor project progress, productivity, equipment utilization, and quality standards.
- Communicate with project managers, clients, and operations leadership regarding job status, manpower needs, and operational challenges.
- Troubleshoot field issues and make real-time operational decisions to keep projects on schedule.
- Maintain accurate field documentation including tickets, reports, safety records, and equipment inspections.
- Oversee maintenance and proper use of HydroVac and HydroTest equipment.
- Assist with scheduling personnel, equipment, and travel logistics for field operations.
- Mentor and develop field personnel while promoting accountability and operational excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience leading HydroVac, HydroTest, pipeline, industrial, or oilfield service operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage field crews in high-pressure environments.
- Working knowledge of hydro excavation equipment, hydrostatic testing procedures, and field safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, procedures, and operational requirements.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively to project sites as needed.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- CDL preferred but not required depending on experience.
