Job Description

The HVAC Foreman supervises and manages all heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning installation activities on the project site. The role ensures that work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards while coordinating with the project team to achieve timely and quality delivery.

A. Site Supervision

• Oversee and guide HVAC technicians and helpers in executing daily tasks.
• Ensure installation of ducting, chilled water piping, FCUs, AHUs, VRF/VRV systems, exhaust fans, and ventilation systems as per approved drawings.
• Monitor work progress and ensure adherence to project schedule.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, and other MEP teams to avoid clashes and ensure smooth workflow.

B. Installation & Execution

• Supervise duct fabrication, insulation, cladding, and equipment installation.
• Ensure correct installation of dampers, grills, diffusers, and accessories.
• Verify alignment, leveling, and positioning of HVAC equipment.
• Conduct site measurements and support the engineering team for shop drawings.

C. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure workmanship meets project quality standards and specifications.
• Assist in preparing and submitting inspection requests (IRs) for consultant approval.
• Verify materials on site and ensure they match approved submittals.

D. Testing & Commissioning Support

• Support testing of HVAC systems including air balancing, water balancing, leak tests, pressure tests, and equipment functional tests.
• Coordinate with specialist contractors for commissioning activities.

E. Safety

• Ensure team follows all safety protocols, PPE usage, and site HSE guidelines.
• Report unsafe conditions and ensure corrective measures are implemented immediately.

F. Reporting & Coordination

• Report daily progress to HVAC Engineer / Project Engineer.
• Highlight delays, material shortages, or issues affecting progress.
• Prepare daily manpower and activity reports.
