Hastings Deering is looking for an experienced Foreman to join our Brisbane Service Team. This position will work with the Brisbane workshop team and support General Revenue and the Trackshop. This is a Permanent, Full-time, Monday to Friday role.

As a Foreman, you will:
- Leadership & Coaching – Provide clear direction, leadership, and ongoing coaching to develop team capability and performance.
- Safety Excellence – Maintain and enforce high safety standards to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
- Work Planning & Targets – Define labour targets accurately and communicate expectations to support efficient delivery.
- Technical Support – Assist technicians with complex diagnostics and detailed failure analysis to resolve issues effectively.
- Continuous Improvement – Contribute ideas and drive execution of initiatives that enhance performance and efficiency.
- Resource & Schedule Management – Adapt schedules and manage fitter availability in response to unforeseen absences.
- Cross-Team Collaboration – Work closely with Foremen and service teams across Brisbane to meet all customer requirements.
About You
A successful teammate will have experience in:
- Trade Qualification & Experience – Trade qualified Diesel Fitter with extensive post-trade experience in the field.
- Industry Background – Proven experience in similar roles within mining, mining services, or heavy earthmoving environments.
- Diagnostic Expertise – Demonstrated strength in mechanical diagnostics with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Leadership Capability – Experienced in leading and supervising teams, with a strong track record of maximising productivity.
- Communication Skills – Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Planning & Organisation – Strong planning, time management, and scheduling skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Systems & Technology – Solid computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX (highly regarded).
