Ford Heavy Line Technician Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, drivetrains, and related systems
- Perform advanced mechanical repairs and troubleshooting
- Use manufacturer diagnostic tools to identify complex issues
- Document diagnostic procedures and repairs accurately
- Work closely with service advisors to explain repair needs and recommendations
- Follow manufacturer specifications and dealership quality standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Participate in ongoing Ford and Lincoln technical training
Ford Heavy Line Technician Compensation and Benefits
The Heavy Line Technician position is paid on a pay scale that may include one or more of the following compensation elements:
- Hourly

compensation, which varies based on experience, certifications, skill level, and performance
- Production‑based incentive compensation, which may be earned based on individual and/or team productivity
- Retention‑based incentive compensation, which may be earned based on hours produced
The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $33.80 to $173.00 per hour. Actual compensation within this range will be determined by job‑related factors such as experience, qualifications, performance, and business needs. Incentive and bonus compensation are not guaranteed and may be zero if applicable benchmarks are not met.

QualificationsFord Heavy Line Technician

Qualifications
- Heavy line automotive technician experience required
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Experience with Ford and/or Lincoln vehicles preferred
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, production‑oriented environment
- ASE certifications are preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

The Gee Automotive Companies began in 1983 when George Gee opened a Pontiac dealership in Spokane, Washington, which quickly became the largest in the state. In 1991, the company added GMC to its offerings, and in 2000, it relocated to new facilities in Liberty Lake, WA.
