Foot Care Nurse - RPN/RN
3 Casual Positions

One of a network of provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services.
We are currently seeking 3 casual Foot Care RPN/RN Nurse positions, who as valuable members of the Community Health Centre team, will provide foot care services and assist in the delivery of primary care services to the clients we serve with a strong emphasis on disease prevention, health promotion, education and empowerment. The casual Footcare nurse will have no scheduled rotation and be offered shifts for days, evenings and weekends.
The position has a competitive salary, and with the option to join the Health Care of Ontario’s Pension Plan (HOOPP).
The hourly salary range for this position is $29.182 to $35.157 for Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) and $39.582 to $45.707 for Registered Nurses (RNs). We currently do not use AI to screen resumes.
Eligible for the Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN) that provides $25,000 in grant funding to eligible nurses in exchange for a 2 year commitment. Click here for eligibility criteria.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• RPN or an RN with current College of Nurses of Ontario registration in good standing.
• Minimum two years of Foot Care Nurse experience.
• Certification in Basic and Advanced Foot Care is required to perform clinical activities according to the College of Nurses standards for nursing practice.
• Thorough knowledge and proficiency in current nursing procedures, nursing assessment, physical assessments and treatment measures.
• Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work both independently, and collaboratively, within interdisciplinary team environment.
• Experience working with electronic medical records
• Utilizes professional assessment skills to identify physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of clients.
• Has awareness of and sensitivity to health issues particularly within individuals who face barriers to accessing care (under housed, living with mental health challenges or diagnoses, current or past substance use, complex health histories, 2SLGBTQIA+, newcomers, non-insured).
