Exemption Status:

NoPreparation of all cold and limited hot food in production areas plus service to tray and cafeteria areas. Work in dish room area and receive all product items delivered to the department. Work in all areas of catering as needed. Passes trays to patients and helps set up food trays for them.

Job Duties:

  • Prepares all salads and desserts according to recipes indicated or convenience directions on the package label and produces quantities indicated on production sheets.
  • Follows department guidelines for portioning all food items and merchandising all food served on patient tray line, cafeteria, and catering area.
  • Follow department guidelines for a neat and orderly tray line and cafeteria area.
  • Records temperatures required by each job being performed.
  • Replenishes nourishment stations- records all items properly.
  • Follows department standards for sanitation in dish room, kitchen area, cafeteria, and catering.
  • Receives food and supplies according to department policy.
  • Maintains proper par levels at each work station.
  • Records all Dr. charges, other cafeteria charges and over rings or problems concerning this area correctly in the cafeteria and lets the supervisor know of any problems.
