Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Food Tray Prep Assistant/EVS Technician to join our Food and Nutrition, and Environmental Services departments.
The Food Tray Prep Assistant/EVS Technician is primarily responsible for patient meal tray delivery. This position is responsible for cleaning the kitchen, cafeteria, and restrooms. Cleaning includes sweeping and mopping the floors with our floor machine, the hallways, and dusting. This position will work with a fellow housekeeper one evening a week on various weekly and monthly cleaning duties. This position is expected to follow proper cleaning guidelines along with knowledge of proper cleaning agents. This position works as a member of a specialty team assigned to the hospital's lower-level, specifically servicing the kitchen, café, material services, and public spaces. In addition to the routine cleaning, this position will provide food tray preparation and delivery services to our patients.

Essential Functions:

• Transports meal trays and food carts to patient floors and retrieves trays and carts in a timely manner
• Inventories, assembles, and distributes food supplies to nursing units and vending areas
• Portions and serves food accurately and neatly according to diet and menu items selected
• Cleans and maintains various areas
• Collects and removes waste and soiled linen from assigned areas. Transports waste and soiled linens to the collection site.
• Maintains housekeeping supplies; keeps cleaning closets and equipment in clean and working order

Position Requirements:

• Required: Basic reading and comprehension skills
• Preferred: High School graduate or equivalent
• Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.
• Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills – Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.

Work Shift:

• 12 hours per week
• Scheduled Days:
  • Week Nights 4:00 pm - 7:30 pm
  • Weekends 7:00 am - 12:30 pm (every other weekend)
  • Holiday Rotations
