Job Description

The technologist supports food label and compliance projects from the beginning to the end independently on time, within budget and with outcomes that fulfil project objectives/deliverables and result in satisfied clients.

The individual will coordinate and has direct responsibility for a project or specific set of tasks related to the business unit as it pertains to nutrition labelling services and other related programs. He/She serves as the primary point of contact for the client.

This is a 2 years contract.

  • Compile and issue Nutrition Facts tables, ingredient lists, allergen information and any other required information for compliant labelling.

  • Coordinates and has direct responsibility for a project or specific set of tasks related to the business unit as it pertains to nutrition labelling services and other related programs.

  • Provides technical and administrative support services for client driven project activities.

  • Organizes and implements administrative systems and procedures performing necessary support duties.

  • Draft, edit and prepare correspondence, reports and other material using word processing, spreadsheets and/or databases.

  • Prepares and maintains relevant work records, reviews documents, expense reports, timesheets, tracks document control etc.

  • Provides for smooth day-to-day flow of communications within the team including responding to routine inquiries and communicating with established clients to support ongoing projects.

  • May coordinate or assist with coordination of events both on and off premises.

  • May act as a liaison for area of responsibility (AOR) with internal and external stakeholders.

  • May assist in training staff members and collaborate with others to accomplish AOR goals.

  • Participates in courses, conferences and other training opportunities to expand regulatory knowledge base.

  • Minimum post-secondary school degree in Food Science, Nutrition or related discipline, or equivalent combination of work experience and education.

  • Minimum of one to two (1-2) years of relevant work experience that may include knowledge of the principles, practices and regulations pertaining to food labeling.

  • Knowledge of food regulations for Bulgaria
