The technologist supports food label and compliance projects from the beginning to the end independently on time, within budget and with outcomes that fulfil project objectives/deliverables and result in satisfied clients.
The individual will coordinate and has direct responsibility for a project or specific set of tasks related to the business unit as it pertains to nutrition labelling services and other related programs. He/She serves as the primary point of contact for the client.
This is a 2 years contract.
Compile and issue Nutrition Facts tables, ingredient lists, allergen information and any other required information for compliant labelling.
Coordinates and has direct responsibility for a project or specific set of tasks related to the business unit as it pertains to nutrition labelling services and other related programs.
Provides technical and administrative support services for client driven project activities.
Organizes and implements administrative systems and procedures performing necessary support duties.
Draft, edit and prepare correspondence, reports and other material using word processing, spreadsheets and/or databases.
Prepares and maintains relevant work records, reviews documents, expense reports, timesheets, tracks document control etc.
Provides for smooth day-to-day flow of communications within the team including responding to routine inquiries and communicating with established clients to support ongoing projects.
May coordinate or assist with coordination of events both on and off premises.
May act as a liaison for area of responsibility (AOR) with internal and external stakeholders.
May assist in training staff members and collaborate with others to accomplish AOR goals.
Participates in courses, conferences and other training opportunities to expand regulatory knowledge base.
Minimum post-secondary school degree in Food Science, Nutrition or related discipline, or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
Minimum of one to two (1-2) years of relevant work experience that may include knowledge of the principles, practices and regulations pertaining to food labeling.
