Since 1979, the 120-bed Emergency Lodge, located at 1730 N 7th St. in Milwaukee, has provided emergency shelter to homeless individuals and families with children. The Food Services Worker will prepare, cook and serve food for the residents of the Emergency Lodge Homeless Shelter; clean the kitchen, dining room and food service areas according to sanitation and safety standards.
About the role:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: One year experience in food services, institutional cooking or related experience
-Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities
Certifications: Serve Safe Certification

Full-time employees scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week will be eligible for full benefits, including health, dental, vision and hearing benefits, basic and voluntary life benefits, holiday pay and paid time off, which is pro-rated based on their regularly scheduled work week.
Non-Exempt Employees: Health, dental, vision, and hearing benefits, as well as basic and voluntary life benefits, will begin on the first day of the month following 90 days of employment.
